ABOUT 

Hannah Faas is an emerging ceramic artist from Hamilton, Canada. She completed her Bachelor of Craft and Design in Ceramics at Sheridan College in 2022 and her MFA in Ceramics at Kent State University in 2024. Hannah has exhibited work across Canada and internationally in the United States and South Korea. She is currently an artist-in-residence at the Flower City Arts Center in Rochester, NY, and has completed residencies at the LUX Center for the Arts and Medalta. Hannah is a Craft Ontario and Toronto Outdoor Art Fair award recipient, and was awarded first place in the AX National Emerging Ceramic Artists Exhibition in 2023. Her work has been featured in Fusion Magazine and Ceramics Monthly, and her first public art installation was completed in 2025, located in Montréal, Québec. Hannah’s work explores themes of femininity, domesticity, sweetness, and frivolity, and challenges the perception that sweet and frivolous things are often seen as submissive, naive, unprofessional, and overall lacking value.
